Valerie
sculpts, paints and makes prints. Her inspirations derive
from ancient art forms, archaeology and her love of
natural structures. Her sculpture is mostly figurative
- human, animal and bird forms - but occasionally she
creates abstract works. Through close observation of
her grandchildren, she captures their movements at play
in remarkably evocative sculptures.
Valerie’s
unique works are modelled in clay, coloured with glazes
and fired to stoneware temperature for outside use.
Work for replication is cast in resin, stone or bronze
- to order.
