Averil’s
work is based upon the human figure in all its variety

Averil also creates superb life drawings in mixed media
and ink and colour wash.
Averil’s
sculptures are modelled directly in a variety of materials:
most usually in plaster, but also in epoxy putty and
bonded cellulose, which is strong but light in weight
and so is suitable for sculpting adult size figures
for inside display. By making a mould of such work,
the sculpture can then be cast in painted resin for
outside display, if this is required.
