Althea's
work is deeply influenced by her love of early classical
sculpture, the calm poise and harmony of which she seeks
to emulate. Her sculptures are mainly of the human form,
but she also sculpts animals, especially horses. Her
work also includes original fountain designs.
Althea's
works are usually ceramic, in which each unique piece
is fired to a high temperature to render it frost proof
making it at least as durable as Cotswold stone.
